You will write a literary research paper on the author and literary piece that impacted you the most in the course. Your paper must have a thesis which you support throughout your paper with your own ideas and assertions, secondary scholarly sources (at least 5), and support from the text (examples and quotes). Along with the above-mentioned components, ensure to focus on symbolism, themes, and reoccurring ideas found within the literary piece that you will assess. Do not forget to give background information on the author and impact of the era and/ or culture at the time your literary work was written; however, do not dwell too long on the background information. The depth of your paper must be an assessment of the literary text and author. Your paper must be 7-8 pages in length.
Make sure that your paper is properly cited in MLA format and that you have a Works Cited page.
