Write a 4–5-page paper, excluding title and bibliography pages, responding to the prompt at your semester paper assignment link. Synthesis means restructuring the details of your analysis in a way that makes sense to you. In an analytical paper, you research to become an expert on a topic so that you can restructure and present the parts of the subject from your perspective. In other words, “What would you do?”
Finally, you will develop a personal conclusion about the topic. Do not use first person (I, we, us). Use third person (people, individuals, society, etc.). The conclusion is intended to help the reader understand why your synthesis should matter to them after reading the paper. A conclusion is not merely a summary of the main topics covered but also a synthesis of key points. In this case, keep the same elements delineated for your ethical dilemmas in mind as you explain to the reader the importance of your conclusion for future research/analysis.

These diverse communities have unique behavioral health needs and experience different rates of mental and/or substance use disorders and treatment access. Communities of color tend to experience a greater burden of mental and substance use disorders, often due to poorer access to care; inappropriate care; and higher social, environmental, and economic risk factors.
