PART ONE (worth 40 points)
Select a research article regarding therapeutic exercise of the UE and/or LE from the physical therapy journal. Do not select an article about the back.
Write a 1-2 page summary of the article. All parts of the article should be briefly discussed in your own words.
Submit the typed summary with the article and a bibliography.
PART TWO (worth 60 points)
Write a critique regarding the above article, including at least 1-2 well developed paragraphs of the following information:
a.) Limitations of the article – identify concerns related to validity, reliability, the population, the sample, the instruments used, etc.
b.) Benefits of the study – outcomes of the study – why was it a good idea that this study was done
c.) Application to physical therapy practice – how can the information gained from this article be used in practice – what is the information that can be taken from this article and used in your future practice of physical therapy
d.) Future ideas for research – give your ideas for future research based on this article
