For my final paper, I will be writing about my mother and her experience being the caregiver of my grandmother, who suffered from Alzheimer’s. I will be using the six steps of cultural competency, that was developed by Arthur Kleinman. I was also interested and hoping to include the hardships they faced in Chile, trying to get the care needed for my grandmother. Which according to my mother led to many of the emotional damage she feels she faced during that time.
