Using a waste factor of 8 percent, determine the number of cubic yards of concrete needed to pour the continuous footings shown in figures 11.38 and 11.39.

WBS & Risk Management
1. Prepare a “deliverable-based” WBS diagram for a Hospital with a Trauma Center and a
Parking Structure. Include a minimum of four WBS levels. Limit your answer to a single
page with a landscape orientation.
2.
Following the Risk Management Categories we discussed in the lecture, give a single
example of a specific risk in each risk category as it pertains to this hospital project.
Concrete Estimating
1.
Using a waste factor of 8 percent, determine the number of cubic yards of concrete needed
to pour the continuous footings shown in Figures 11.38 and 11.39. Assume that the wall is
centered over the footing.
2. Determine the amount of rebar needed for the continuous footings shown in Figures 11.38
and 11.39. Allow for 2 inches of cover and extend the dowels 15 inches into the wall. Add
10 percent for lap and waste to the continuous bars.
3. Determine the number of linear feet of forms needed for the continuous footings shown in
Figures 11.38 and 11.39.
