Write a short essay (1-2 paragraphs) describing the poetry of William Butler Yeats with some consideration of how it changed from his early poetry reviving Irish and fairy folklore to his later poetry that concerns Irish politics and his own views of history, aging, and the occult. Poems to consider might be “The Lake Isle of Inisfree,” “The Stolen Child,” “The Song of Wandering Aengus,” “Easter, 1916,” “The Second Coming,” “Under Ben Bulben,” and “Sailing to Byzantium” though other poems could be used.
