This assignment asks you to evaluate the similarities and differences between two things and make a judgment based on the comparison. For example, you might compare breeds of dog and judge which is the best type to have as a pet or as a working animal. You might discuss online courses versus traditional lecture courses or eight-week classes versus sixteen-week classes and argue that one form is better than another or that a third alternative would be better. You may also choose other things to compare. Just keep in mind that for a good comparison, the things you choose must be enough alike that a comparison is meaningful.
