The purpose of a compare and contrast essay is to examine two countries from our textbook and to highlight the similarities and differences between them.
There are many different formats for writing a compare and contrast essay. For the purpose of this assignment, we will focus on the most common format called the Feature by Feature Format, where we compare and contrast (similarities and differences) between two subjects (i.e. one country versus another etc.) on three different features about the subjects (i.e. geography, politics/culture, and people/food, etc.)
You will write a 500-750 word essay comparing and contrasting two countries that are covered within our textbook. Utilize at least 3 academic sources. Include proper citations. You can include, but are not limited to, the politics, geographical dimensions, culture, food, people, history of the chosen countries. The paper is due August 26 by 11:59p.
