Short paper 3 due 5:00 PM 10/18:
While in the broadest sense Edmund Burke (a Whig Party member of the British Parliament) was a liberal, he is widely seen as the most important early critic of liberalism. Drawing on the Burke readings provided (and, entirely optionally, Ingersoll), identify and discuss one or more aspects of Burke’s implied critique of liberalism, with some reference to one or more class readings discussed on 9/27 or 10/4.
Same parameters as papers 1 and 2.
