How has reading these works influences your thoughts, attitudes, perceptions, etc.?

The mid point of the semester is a good time to take stock of where we have been and what you have learned so far.
In a reflective essay, please choose three works of literature we have read so far and discuss the following:
Why did the piece “speak” to you?
What does the work reveal to you?
How has reading these works influences your thoughts, attitudes, perceptions, etc.?
Review the first two essays assigned in Module 1 – Reading Literature Can Make You More Human and Reading Literature Makes You Smarter. Make notes on the central claims, ideas, and examples included in both essays. Then, go back and look at all of the assigned readings thus far. Make a list of how reading these pieces have made you more human and/or smarter.
You will be asked to write a reflective essay addressing the following issues:
What have you learned about the characters you’ve read about?
Can you apply this to your life?
How does reading effect your mind? Does reading make one “smarter?”
What life lessons have you learned from our reading?
How have you grown as a reader and a writer thus far?
