Pt is a 70 yr old female with a long history of bilateral hip pain. She underwent elective total hip replacement four weeks ago. The site became infected, delaying her progress. She received home health care for two weeks and is now able to get to the clinic for outpatient therapy. Because of the infection and her limited tolerance to activity she has developed limitations in ROM and strength. She currently only has pain after therapy, which is reported as an overall soreness. She is advised by her physician that she needs to continue to follow her precautions for a minimum of six weeks post surgery. She is WBAT and uses a walker for ambulation.
