Each year, Shared Hope assigns a “report card” with letter grades of A, B, C, D, or F to each state’s efforts to combat child trafficking. Current report cards for each state are available online at SharedHope.org’s State Report Cards web page.

For your initial post, select a state that earned either a D or an F. Download the report card for the state you selected and review it and then review the assigned readings and resources. Be sure that your state is unique from those done by your classmates. In other words, do NOT repeat states.
The report cards score each state’s efforts on criminalization of domestic minor sex trafficking, criminal provisions for demand, traffickers, and facilitators; protective provisions for children and criminal justice tools. Describe the scores the selected state achieved on these dimensions and briefly explain their meaning.
What can this state do to improve its response to human trafficking?
