Each student will write one research paper that addresses a topic raised at the
end of one of the textbook chapters. For example, if you are interested in the topic of terrorism,
you would write your paper on the debate topic at the end of chapter 3 (on page 70). In this
example, the title of your paper would be “Should former terrorists be integrated into society?”
Your goal should be to expand on the information presented in the chapter by using at least 4
additional sources. Do not simply duplicate the information in the chapter. The paper should be
5 double-spaced pages of text, not including title and reference pages, and 12-point Times New
Roman font, in MS Word. Use a correct citation form (MLA, APA, Chicago), as points will be
deducted for incorrect format.
