Do not use the power point used in this course.

You are to suggest to your city council the mixture of power sources (other than Fossil fuel
based) to use in future so as to provide 20% of the electricity to an average size eity of
75.00-100,000 residents. You need to include 2 different type of sources in the mixture. The location of the city is somewhere in the continental USA but not near ocean. The mixture should
be environmentally friendly. not generate too many pollutants and should take into account
global warning but it should sull provide the electricity needed at a reasonable and compenuve rate. Think about the infrastructure needed, actual power needed, the land use needed to build any new facility and the amount of money the city can spend reasonably together with the workers that will be needed. Make estimates based on similar cities in the nation.
Read some articles on it in journals, magazine, books, and newspaper. Do not use the power point used in this course. Write an essay of ~500 words ( should not exceed 3 pages on a regular sized sheet with -12 point font on vour mixture of chosen enerey sources and discuss their
advantage and disadvantages. The essay should be in your words (do not copy from any source), in your legible handwriting or if typed should also provide an electronic copy (should have your
full name in the actual report at the start. Name left in email does not count)
LIST THE REFERENCES YOU ARE USING (at least five reference from the list above- our textbook and our PowerPoint cannot be one of them). You can use one (and only one) internet reference (it cannot be Wikipedia).
