The essay is to be written on a topic of your choosing, based on a current event, and incorporating
concepts explored in our Global Economics course. The essay should identify the issue, implications, and
importance to society, a particular industry, or the overall global economy.
The essay should include
three sources: at least two current event source articles on the same topic and the textbook (Pugel, International Economics 17th Edition)
Your essay
should answer the following questions:
1) What is the topic being discussed and its relation to Global Economics?
2) Why does this topic interest you?
3) What is the importance of this topic to society?
4) How have you or someone you know been personally impacted by the subject matter?
5) What are your future expectations regarding the subject matter?
Ensure that works used are properly cited. The paper should be Chicago Style, at least 2 double spaced
pages in length, typed in 12-point Times New Roman font, with 1” margins all around. Page 1 begins
with your introductory paragraph. Your cover page does not count as page 1. Bibliography does not
count as a page.
