Choose a passage of about 200 words from one of the short stories we read for Unit One (not the same one you wrote about for Discussion 1). Copy and paste the passage to the discussion board. Underneath the original passage, rewrite it from a new point of view. If the passage is written in the first person, rewrite it in the third person OR rewrite it from the perspective of another character in the scene. If the passage is written in the third person, rewrite it in the first person from the perspective of a character in the scene. Then, review your classmates’ rewritten passages. Discuss how the change in point of view alters the story and what it reveals about characterization.
