The purpose of this assignment is to provide you with an appreciation of the importance of “sensation and perception” and also provide you “hands on experience” in learning all about how we sense and perceive–and their relationship to psychology.

In an essay, discuss each of the following questions about Sensation and Perception:
What is sensation?
What is perception?
How do these two abilities work together?
Pick one sensation and explain the process it follows from the beginning of the “sense” all the way to the perceiving of that sense in the brain. For example: Hearing would start with a sound wave entering the pinna and end at the auditory cortex of the brain resulting in the sound we hear. You would need to briefly describe each structure of the auditory system that the sound wave passes through on it’s journey, how it is ultimately made sense of in the brain (which area of the brain it is processed in and what happens there).
Citing Sources: You must use APA style to reference your source(s) at the end of your submission. For this assignment, you must include reference information for your textbook, the podcast and the article.
