What type of policing reform is needed (what aspects of policing should be reformed)? Are you hopeful (optimistic) or doubtful (pessimistic) that important change can occur in the near future? What do you think is necessary to achieve change/reform? Think about the entirety of the course and what you have learned over the past 15 weeks. Think about the history of policing, both in how it started, but also in how it moved from “political” to “professional” and has continued to improve. If you were leading the change efforts, what reforms would be
at the top of your agenda? And how would you accomplish your goals?
