Consider the rubric categories:
Description of the Toy/Game–include full description of the toy and who it is intended for such as age, gender, functionality, rules/requirements. Include a photograph/image of the toy in the Appendix of your paper. This section should be approximately 1 paragraph in length.
Physical or Psychosocial Needs– choose one of these areas. If you choose physical be sure to include the milestones that aligns with the physical development you are discussing; if you choose psychosocial development be sure to include psychosocial theories that address development. This section should be approximately 2-3 paragraphs in length.
Cognitive Needs–discuss how the toy influences the cognitive development of the child and include theoretical perspectives in this section. This section should be approximately 2-3 paragraphs in length.
Modification– discuss what modifications could be made to enhance a child’s development in one of the 3 areas: physical, cognitive, psychosocial. Include more than one theory to support your modification. This section should be approximately 2 paragraphs in length.
APA/Writing–use APA style (e.g. see instructions above) and be sure your paper is written in a professional voice and you use correct grammar without any typos, writing, and spelling errors.
