For each journal, you will analyze one of the assigned readings for that corresponding week. For example, for week four, journal three, you will analyze either “The Origins of Civil Society” or “Total Domination.” What kind of government-related information do you see in these readings and how do they influence the way you see the world? Why does it matter that we look at how these affect society? Talk about how your perception has changed after reading these works. When doing so, you will choose two important quotations on which to elaborate. and discuss. You must explain why they are significant enough to mention, how they impact the understanding of argument, and why they apply to current culture, issues, society, etc. This is your opportunity to respond to the literature and show how much critical thinking and writing you are able to do with the material.
