Because EUH 2000 fulfills the Gordon Rule requirement for graduation, students must demonstrate college-level writing in order to pass this class. Over the course of the semester, I will pose one or more question prompts related to the topics we will be considering in class. For each assignment, you are responsible for answering the following prompt. Responses must:
Be typed
Be double-spaced
have one-inch margins
contain at least 300 words
be saved as either a Microsoft Word doc file or as a pdf
Responses should begin with a thesis, that is, a direct answer or position on a given prompt.
The student should then list their supporting arguments, that is their reasons why they have taken that position on the prompt.
Subsequent paragraphs should then expand on the supporting arguments.
All responses must contain three citations from the textbook, or the lecture slides, or both to support the essay’s position on the given prompt.
Because EUH 2000 is a Gordon Rule class, students must demonstrate their ability to properly use accepted citation formatting in their fields of study. The Chicago Style for citation formatting (SHORT FORM) is used in the field of History. Please see the Reference Module for tips and tools for proper citation formatting, writing a strong thesis, and so on.
