Hello, this is a paper about Cultural Awareness: I have provided some info on me, but you are welcome to expand on it.
– I am hispanic ( Puerto RIican). I grew up speaking spanish. My mom made sure I knew where we came from. We took a trip once a year to visit family in Puerto Rico.
-Grew up in middle class, my father was in the military, moved a lot. Parent’s talk me to always be humble and treat people fairly. I am open to all people no matter the class, at the end of the day, we are all people.
-As a social worker I will always work with everyone. No matter their culture, their beliefs, sexual orientation. My job is to help those in need.

Discuss, with examples, how your socioeconomic class influences your current interactions with others within the various systems you are connected (4 points).
Discuss, with examples, the extent to which your socioeconomic class is congruent or dissonant with dominant American culture (2 points). Describe at least two ways you have been affected by this congruence or dissonance (e.g., as a member of the middle class you have enjoyed certain privileges) (2 points).
